Clearly this was a carefully planned operation. And these students might very well have been telling the truth that they had no idea Anzorov was going to murder Paty. If all they know about Islam comes from French schools, they would almost certainly have no idea whatsoever that Islamic law mandates death for blasphemy. It’s a religion of peace!

Four schoolchildren have been placed under arrest in France after reportedly admitting that they were paid more than €300 by an Islamist to identify their teacher so he could kill him.
Abdullakh Anzorov, the attacker, an 18-year-old Russian refugee of Chechen origin, is understood to have asked the teenage pupils to point out Samuel Paty.
The children say Anzorov told them that he wanted an apology from the history and geography teacher for having used cartoons of the prophet Muhammad in a civic education lesson. Anzorov then beheaded Mr Paty and was subsequently shot dead by police.
