A Muslim commits a brutal murder in the name of Islam and in accord with its teachings. In response, a Muslim editor calls not for soul-searching within the Muslim community, not for reform of Islamic blasphemy law, not for classes in mosques on the importance of the freedom of speech and tolerance, but for the shutdown of the “blaspheming” entity.
The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one should conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities. In non-Muslim countries, one should conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities.
