Just another day in the town of Walsall. The prolific drug dealer Mohammed Osman had possession of cocaine and heroin which was worth approximately £67000 [$83,500 — ed.]. During a raid on his house, the police uncovered approximately £40000 [$49,850] in addition to the cocaine. Most notably, Osman had a handgun and was prepared to shoot someone; the handgun was loaded with 5 rounds of bullets. Fortunately, the police intervened before he did shoot anyone. The criminal has been jailed for 17 years. Osman also has to pay the police £146,000 [$182,000], as was heard during his court case in Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The Councillors and other authorities have not said anything regarding this case, just in case it hurts the feelings of a certain community. One drug dealer might have been neutralized; however, in many towns across the country, there are gangs of Muslim men selling drugs and exploiting young vulnerable non-Muslim girls and raping them. There are still many drug dealers in Walsall who have different victims addicted to their supply of drugs including cocaine, yet the police don’t seem to be paying much attention.
I have not seen the local Labour Councillors trying to hold sessions in order to strategize on how to prevent these type of crimes. Moreover, there isn’t any outrage from fellow Muslims regarding these horrendous crimes, because they cannot go against another Muslim, and that is exactly the problem. Labour Councillors who are in charge within this district need to do much more to stop these crimes; however, they continue to be silent. The silence will only let more of the Muslim drug dealers get away with crimes in this area. People have elected Muslim Councillors who are not paying attention, but only care for votes. The Councillor in this area, Farhana Mazhar, must bring about massive and genuine change in order to reform her community. At the moment, however, there is no evidence of this occurring. She is just focused on the myth of “Islamophobia”.
