Note the Philippine News Agency’s quotation marks around “imam” in their headline, conveying that they don’t think he is a real imam at all, for he has twisted and hijacked the true, peaceful teachings of Islam. But while authorities all over the free world take for granted that Islam is a religion of peace and that jihad terrorists are misunderstanding their own religion, they never explain why all the jihadis misunderstand it in the same way, and why so many Muslim clerics, men who have dedicated their lives to understanding Islam correctly, get it so drastically wrong. Could it be that Islam is not really a religion of peace at all? Nah, that would be “Islamophobic.”

ZAMBOANGA CITY – An Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) “Imam” and two others have surrendered to the government through joint efforts of the Civil-Military Operation (CMO) and intelligence operation in the province of Sulu, an official said Friday.
Maj. Arvin John Encinas, Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) spokesperson, said the Imam and his two companions surrendered at the Forward Operating Base of the 45th Infantry Battalion (45IB) in Barangay Tugas, Patikul, Sulu on Wednesday.
Encinas was unable to divulge the identities of the three ASG surrenderers, citing security reasons.
“This Imam is no ordinary Muslim religious leader. He had been the healer of wounded Abu Sayyaf members for decades,” he said….
