A glimpse into the future of the U.S. This can’t happen here, you say? We respect the freedom of speech, you say? Maybe that was true at one time, but it is no longer. Cowardice is pandemic. Newspapers all over the country refused to republish the notorious Muhammad cartoons out of a newfound “respect” for Islam that they never showed for negative portrayals of Christianity, which they hailed as “courageous.” Those who call attention to the ideological roots of jihad violence are excoriated as racist, bigoted “Islamophobes,” and most organizations on both the Left and the Right would never dare feature such people as speakers. Any organization that does is immediately denounced and called upon to apologize, and it usually does. So given that this is the climate today, what do you think the situation will be like in ten or twenty years?
“PUNISHABLE BY DEATH Saudi man faces BEHEADING over video clip of somebody stepping on the Quran just days before Ramadan,” by Patrick Knox, The Sun, April 22, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
A MAN in Saudi Arabia could face the death penalty after he was arrested over this clip of a foot stepping on the Quran just days before Ramadan.
The man, who has not been named, reportedly uploaded the clip to social media where it was widely shared in the Gulf state.
In the video, a Quran can be seen being thrown to the floor and stepped on with a bare foot.
The clip was reportedly uploaded to an Instagram account which proclaimed “repentance” in its bio section and the only upload was the video.
It remains unclear whether the man who shared the clip was the man in the footage.
Reports said the video caused outrage in Saudi Arabia with some calling for the person responsible arrest and death.
Those found guilty of apostasy — abandoning their religious belief — face the death penalty in Saudi Arabia where strict blasphemy laws remain.
It is unclear if the suspect has been charged….
