Yet another convert to Islam gets the idea that her new religion requires her to commit treason and mass murder. Why are so many converts to Islam so poorly instructed in their new, peaceful religion, that they misunderstand it so spectacularly? Why do no authorities anywhere care about this recurring phenomenon?

The Hanseatic Higher Regional Court sentenced a supporter of the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) to five years and nine months in prison for supporting a terrorist organization.
Hamburg judges passed the verdict, which was tougher than the federal prosecutor demanded – five years and nine months in prison for 41-year-old Songül G., who “highly conspiratorially” tried to smuggle IS terrorists into the country.
Songül G. held a file cover in front of her face so that the cameras in the room could not film her. But she showed something of herself to the viewers behind her: they saw a picture that the accused drew and placed in the folder; a Batman figure in a black cape with red boots. Maybe she thinks she’s a superhero.
Perhaps she also painted the picture for her son, who will be able to see the judge Petra Wende-Spors reading the verdict against his mother shortly after eleven o’clock this Monday: Songül G. is due to be sentenced to five years and nine months for her support of a foreign terrorist organization, three months longer than required by the federal prosecutor.
“You wanted to help bring terror to Germany,” said Wende-Spors in her verdict for the defendant. The chamber had “no doubt” that she was ready and willing to smuggle a Syrian IS supporter to Germany and to give him shelter here so that he could commit an attack here.
“You tried to break us”
“You are not as naive as you tried to tell us here,” said the judge, picking up the partial confession of the defendant, who said she had acted out of “naivety” and “perfidious propaganda.” Rather, Songül G. acted “highly conspiratorially and out of her radical Islamist convictions.”…
Songül G. from Bremen converted to Islam in 1999. She has three children, aged two, eight and 16, who have three different fathers. In 2015, she started watching IS propaganda videos and joined Islamist chat groups. There she met Marcia M., an Islamist who comes from Hildsheim and had joined ISIS in Syria.
She wished “unbelievers death”
A close friendship developed with Marcia M.; both dreamed of life in the “caliphate” of IS and wished “death for the unbelievers.” Songül G., who was always veiled, once confessed that she preferred to “go to the throat” for the “unbelievers” who stared at her and that she needed an “outlet” for her anger.
Marcia M. tried to get her friend to leave for Syria. And Songül G. obviously also prepared for this: she ordered electronics, suitcases and functional clothing on the Internet, withdrew her son from school and stopped paying the rent. With Marcia M., she discussed whether it was possible to receive German child benefit in Syria….
According to the court, the “outlet” for her anger was found in the planning of the attack “against a major musical event in the Hildesheim area,” in which the accused had been specifically involved “at the latest since autumn 2016,” and who had also agreed to give shelter to a potential assassin….
Songül G. had previously agreed to marry one of the potential assassins, the surveillance of messenger services shows. Two assassins, disguised as refugees, then made their way out of Syria, but were intercepted and arrested in Turkey. The defendant disputes this charge. She had never intended to marry an IS fighter and create a cover for him….
In the same year, Songül G. started an apprenticeship as a truck driver sponsored by the employment office, where she also stood out due to radical statements. During a driving exercise, she is said to have answered the teacher’s question of where she actually wanted to go: “I’m going to the next Christmas market.”…
