“Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Nothing interrupt prayer, but repulse as much as you can anyone who passes in front of you, for he is just a devil.” (Sunan Abu Dawud 2.329.719)
“Strangeways inmate threw urine on guards then shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ while battering them,” by Steve Robson, Manchester Evening News, August 22, 2019:
A Strangeways prisoner may never leave jail after carrying out a terrifying ‘potting’ attack on two guards while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.
Simeon Nicholls, 29, threw urine on a guard from his cell window, then flew into a violent rage when prison officers came to investigate.
He claimed he was praying when the officers entered his cell and that he was acting in self-defence….
The court heard when the guards entered his cell, he threw the first against the wall, knocking him unconscious and then punched the second causing him a nasty cut to the eye.
Guards managed to press the alarm button and Nicholls was eventually subdued when reinforcements arrived.
Detective Martin Riley, who led the investigation, said: “Bodycam footage of the incident was shown in court and the guards were very professional despite what happened – I think that was very impactive on the jury.”
Nicholls was heard shouting ‘allahu akbar’ during the incident – an Arabic phrase meaning ‘God is the greatest’ – and claimed this was because he was ‘asking God for help’….
