The growing Muslim populations in the West have led inevitably to politicians pandering to them, with little or no critical thought or care to avoid Islamic leaders who preach values opposed to Western values. The imam Omar Subedar, who is being courted by both Justin Trudeau and his chief rival, Conservative leader Andrew Scheer, is pro-Sharia, anti-Israel, and in favor of the beating of women who are perceived to be disobedient. Both Trudeau and Scheer should be rebuking and shunning him; neither has the courage to do so. Scheer has unpleasantly surprised many of his supporters with his consistent and flagrant Islamopandering. And as the Muslim population of Canada continues to grow, the problem of non-Muslim politicians remaining quiet about human rights abuses sanctioned by Sharia is only going to get worse.
Ezra Levant of Rebel Media reported last April about Omar Subedar:
He’s an Islamic teacher, publisher, politician. He’s a huge fan of Justin Trudeau — and of Patrick Brown, the disgraced former leader of the Ontario PCs.
He’s obsessed with posting anti-Israel, pro-PLO memes.
Subedar also wants people to live according to the strict laws of Islam, sharia law.
TONIGHT I’ll show you some of this advice from Andrew Scheer’s new friend Omar Subedar, on how to deal with a “stubborn, arrogant or disobedient” wife.
Subedar says that, if all else fails:
Strike them: If the problem still does not get resolved then as a final resort Allah has permitted the husband to discipline his wife by striking her, however this does not imply that Allah is promoting domestic violence. The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) has made it very clear that the beating should not be agonizing in any shape or form.
He actually goes on to recommend using a foot-long heavy stick.
There is also concern about Scheer’s commitment to a free press and the freedom of speech, as Christine Douglass-Williams wrote here last year:
The National Policy Committee Convention Package is undoubtedly a positive one, but there are reasons for concern about whether the party is prepared to implement its own written policy: contrary to the reference to free speech as a “hallmark of a free society,” Scheer banned Rebel Media from sending any of its reporters to the Halifax Convention, while the most Conservative-critical leftist media are welcomed. Also among its exhibitors is “The Canadian Muslim Vote.” I received multiple emails, alarmed that this group was participating while Rebel Media was banned. On the Board of The Canadian Muslim Vote is Ingrid Mattson, whose reputation precedes her, but yet she still somehow is accepted into the Islamic mainstream in Canada, welcomed with open arms by Liberals and fearful Conservatives. I was unable to verify her attendance officially in Halifax, but via email (unverified), I was informed that she will be in attendance.
