Father Giacobbe Elia, a Roman Catholic priest, has hit back at fellow clergy who have expressed pro-open borders sentiments, defending walls and borders…. stating that both were crucial to the building of any civilization throughout history.
Fr. Elia was referring to the threat of Islamic ideology making its way into the West through suicidal open-door immigration policies. Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini closed the door to Muslim migrants flooding in by the hundreds of thousands from Africa and warned that the EU is in danger of becoming an Islamic caliphate.
“Father Elia said that the reception of migrants and asylum seekers, “must never be implemented to the detriment of security.”
Last month, Monsignor Michele Crociata, who is an Islamic scholar, praised Salvini’s strong border policy and defense of Italy’s Christian identity, saying, “A sensible politician must guarantee the security of the nation and control of the situation.”
Unfortunately, globalist leaders who advance open borders are not sensible; and blind guides in the Church continue to fan the flames of lawlessness, aiding and abetting illegal immigration and the hijra while deceptively manipulating the maxim to love thy neighbor to do it.
“Jesuit Father Antonio Spadaro accused Salvini of “taking the name of God in vain,” earlier this year, claiming Salvini’s values, “have nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus” — while Catholic magazine Famiglia Cristiana went as far as comparing the deputy prime minister to Satan himself.”
Cardinal Robert Sarah, however, recently “issued a warning about Muslim migration and the subsequent destruction of open-door Europe. Sarah declared that “it is a false exegesis [interpretation of scriptural text] to use the Word of God to promote migration. God never wanted these rifts.”
It is logical that the rule of law must include boundaries.
“Pro-Salvini Priest: Walls and Borders Made Civilization,” by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, July 21, 2019:
Father Giacobbe Elia, a Roman Catholic priest, has hit back at fellow clergy who have expressed pro-open borders sentiments, defending walls and borders.
In an interview with Italian media, Father Elia expressed a positive opinion on walls and borders, stating that both were crucial to the building of any civilization throughout history, Italian newspaper Il Giornale reports.
The parish priest also defended populist Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini’s public display of the crucifix during the last election campaign, which had been widely criticised by other members of the church.
On the topic of migrants themselves, Father Elia said that the reception of migrants and asylum seekers, “must never be implemented to the detriment of security.”Elia is just the latest member of the Roman Catholic clergy in Italy to come out in support of the migration policies of Matteo Salvini….
