Alarming news about how the jihad in the Palestinian territories is connected to Palestine House in Mississauga, a city neighboring Toronto:
A recent election for control of a Palestinian community centre in Mississauga, Ont., was reportedly contested by slates backed by two separate terror organizations. The election has received attention in Palestinian media. According to sources, the “al-Quds bloc,” supported by the Democratic Front for the Popular Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), defeated a rival slate “supported by Fatah and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)” in elections held for the presidency and board of directors of Palestine House, which was recently renamed the Palestinian Canadian Community Centre (PCCC).

The Conservative Stephen Harper government defunded Palestine House for “its pattern of extremism.” In July 2017, at a rally in Mississauga, “hundreds of people chanted in Arabic, ‘Remember Khaybar, oh you Jews, the Army of Muhammad will return!,’ in reference to an ancient battle in which a Muslim army defeated and slaughtered Jews in the Arabian Peninsula. On Nov. 4 that same year, the very same protesters, led by Palestine House Public Relations Chief Amin El-Maoued, returned to Celebration Square to call for the destruction of Israel. With young children in attendance, protesters chanted, ‘Oh youth, join him, join him – the martyr has sacrificed his blood!’ In the context of the Israeli-Arab conflict, ‘martyr’ is often used as a euphemism for terrorist or suicide bomber.”
Even more disturbing is the connection between Liberal Member of Parliament Iqra Khalid and Palestine House, but before exploring that connection, Khalid is infamous for introducing “anti-Islamophobia” Motion M-103 in parliament. Followup to Motion M-103– that many argued was not legislation and thus benign– included a 23-million dollar anti-discrimination initiative that documented the government’s intention to crack down on “Islamophobia”. Monitoring citizens for compliance was also part of the initiative, titled: “Taking Action Against Systemic Racism and Religious Discrimination Which Includes Islamophobia.” Aside from Khalid’s role in M-103, she is well connected to Palestine House…..
On January 18, 2016, MP Khalid met with senior members of the Canadian Palestinian community and board members of the Palestine House including its then deputy chairperson Dr. Nazih Khatatba who serves also as the editor of Meshwar newspaper.
The Palestine House was de-funded in 2012 by the federal government for what then Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Jason Kenney referred to as a “pattern of support for extremism.”
Minister Kenney’s spokesperson told The News via e-mail (February 2012) that “Palestine House has in the last few years aligned itself with terrorist causes, including celebrating the release of terrorists and honouring the founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), one of the groups that formed the Palestine Liberation Organization and in the 1960s and ’70s, was responsible for numerous armed attacks and aircraft hijackings.”
Then in 2018, Khalid participated in Palestine House’s annual commemoration of the Land Day , “which symbolizes the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) determination to “liberate” “Palestine” by wiping Israel off the map.”
Speaking at the event, MP Khalid gave “Palestine House” PR head Amin el-Maoued an award of honor. Calling him “brother Amin,” Khalid said el-Maoued “has been a rock and a strong ally for myself, for the Palestinian Canadian community within Mississauga.””Today on behalf of myself and the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau I want to recognize the great work that brother Amin has done for us and for Mississauga – Erin Mills,” Khalid said. Thanking Khalid, el-Maoued promised to work together with him “for the next federal election in 2019.”

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A recent election for control of a Palestinian community centre in Mississauga, Ont., was reportedly contested by slates backed by two separate terror organizations.
The election has received attention in Palestinian media.
According to sources, the “al-Quds bloc,” supported by the Democratic Front for the Popular Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), defeated a rival slate “supported by Fatah and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)” in elections held for the presidency and board of directors of Palestine House, which was recently renamed the Palestinian Canadian Community Centre (PCCC).
Reports in Palestinian media sources Donia al-Watan, al-Jalia, Amad, Quds Net News Agency and al-Arab al-Youm were echoed last week by the website of the Palestinian National Resistance Brigades, the military wing of the DFLP, and by al-Hourriah, the weekly magazine of the DFLP.
Amin El-Maoued, the former Public Relations Chief for Palestine House, also publicly alleged that the DFLP “declared a sweeping victory in the elections,” while simultaneously announcing that he had withdrawn his membership from the community centre.
The PFLP is a designated terrorist entity in Canada, while Fatah is the party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and is not designated as such.
The DFLP is not part of Canada’s terrorist list and was featured on theU.S. list until being removed in 1999. However, Israel still classifies it as a terrorist organization, and Canada’s Immigration Appeal Division upheld the deportation of a Palestinian refugee claimant in 2015 on the basis that he had been affiliated with the DFLP, described as “an organization that there are reasonable grounds to believe engages, has engaged or will engage in terrorism.”
Moreover, the DFLP continues to issue statements in support of terrorism, including the “brave” March attack that took the lives of an Israeli soldier and rabbi…..
