It is, or should be, common sense that the ills that are evident in Islamic states will be transported to the West via immigration. Over 12 million Muslims have been killed by Muslims since 1948, and fierce antagonism continues between Islamic sects.

Any manifestation of Westernization/modernization among Muslims is deemed by some Muslims to be anti-Sharia (which it is) — anti-Islam and apostate behavior. Girls and women have been murdered for being too Westernized, and incidents of honor violence are largely covered up. Many Muslim cab drivers are also refusing to transport alcohol and dogs. Muslims who wish to assimilate can expect violence from other Muslims. Pluralistic Muslims are unacceptable in normative Islam, and not even the West is a safe place for many of them.
