Chicago Police have announced that Jussie Smollett’s phone records “do not meet the burden for a criminal investigation.” His story was absurd from the start: MAGA-hat wearing thugs were supposedly roaming around — in Chicago! — in sub-zero temperatures — with bleach and a noose, just looking for him to wander randomly out at 2AM in search of a sandwich. But as his story fell apart bit by bit, Smollett has apparently decided to dig in and double down — at least until Chicago Police announced that the attack was staged. Yesterday Smollett claimed that he wasn’t believed because he said his attackers were white Trump supporters, and if he had said they were Muslim, then the doubters would have come around.
This is just the opposite of reality. The establishment media is avid for news of white, Trump-supporting terrorists and thugs. In December 2016, Yasmin Seweid, a Muslim girl in New York City, made international headlines by claiming that she was attacked on the subway by white Trump supporters. She made it all up. On the other hand, when Muslims are the perpetrators of jihad attacks, the media does all it can to obscure that fact, or to claim that the jihadis were mentally ill or had some motive other than jihad.

Jussie Smollett, a star of the Fox television show “Empire” who said late last month that he had been assaulted by two men yelling homophobic and racial slurs in downtown Chicago, told “Good Morning America” that he was “pissed off” by the attack and those who doubted his story.
The comments came Thursday in his first interview about the incident. Hours after the segment was broadcast, the Chicago police said they were interrogating two men believed to be the persons of interest seen in surveillance video images released in late January. They are currently not considered suspects in the incident, which is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
“It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me much more,” Smollett told ABC’s Robin Roberts. “A lot more.”…
