This is a recurring phenomenon: some converts to Islam the world over have gotten the idea that their new religion requires them to commit treason and mass murder. Despite the fact that this contradicts their narrative about Islam being peaceful and completely compatible with Western secular democracy, authorities all over the West remain completely incurious about it.

(ANSA) – Catania, January 23 – Police in the Sicilian city of Catania on Wednesday arrested an Italian convert to Islam for allegedly instigating people to join terrorist groups, sources said. The man, a 32-year-old Catania native with a criminal record, allegedly used social media to spread extremist propaganda after becoming a Muslim in 2011, according to investigations. He has been taken to jail, the sources said.
