The Qur’an teaches that men are superior to women and should beat those from whom they “fear disobedience”: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34
The Qur’an likens a woman to a field (tilth), to be used by a man as he wills: “Your women are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth as you will” — Qur’an 2:223
It declares that a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man: “Get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as you choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her” — Qur’an 2:282
It allows men to marry up to four wives, and have sex with slave girls also: “If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if you fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly, then only one, or one that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice” — Qur’an 4:3
It rules that a son’s inheritance should be twice the size of that of a daughter: “Allah directs you as regards your children’s inheritance: to the male, a portion equal to that of two females” — Qur’an 4:11
It allows for marriage to pre-pubescent girls, stipulating that Islamic divorce procedures “shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated” — Qur’an 65:4
“Libyan Researcher Dr. Ali Al-Siba’i: Westerners Secretly Aim to Corrupt Muslim Women by Making Them Believe In Equality,” MEMRI, November 3, 2018:
Libyan researcher Dr. Ali Al-Siba’i said that Westerners spend billions of dollars on targeting and corrupting Muslim women. He said that there are no conferences or symposiums where they openly discuss their agenda because “they have the foresight to avoid doing these things out in the open,” and that they instead criticize the hijab, inheritance laws, and male guardianship, and talk about rights and equality for women in Muslim countries. Dr. Al-Siba’I said: “Is driving cars the one thing that Muslim women are lacking in our countries?” adding that many women unfortunately listen to this rhetoric, which is a “lethal poison.” Dr. Al-Siba’i made his remarks on Channel 9 TV (Turkey) on November 3, 2018.
Following are excerpts:
Dr. Ali Al-Siba’i: I’m not just talking about ideas and hypotheticals. We are talking about millions and even billions of dollars spent on projects aimed at corrupting Muslim women. What I’m saying now…
Host: The women are specifically targeted?
Dr. Ali Al-Siba’i: Yes. Muslim women are specifically targeted. A large group of Westerners are interested in Muslim women. I’m talking about the corruption of Muslim women, but it is not as if there are conferences and symposiums where they discuss the corruption of Muslim women. It’s not done out in the open. They know what they are doing and they have the foresight to avoid doing these things out in the open. Instead, they talk about “the rights of Muslim women,” or about “equality between men and women in Muslim countries.” They made a big fuss over women’s right to drive. Is driving cars the one thing that Muslim women are lacking in our countries?

“How come women don’t work? Why do women have to wear the hijab? How come the inheritance of men is double that of women? Why do women need a guardian’s approval to marry, and need to be accompanied by a guardian when traveling?” These are the issues they highlight to the women. Unfortunately, many women in our nation listen to that rhetoric. They believe it to be true, but it is, in fact, a lethal poison. The Westerners want women to be nothing but fashion models, secretaries for corruptors, laborers, or cheap merchandise at the hands of these corruptors. This is what they want, even though they voice different slogans.
