“Palestinians” are not the only Muslims for whom false victimhood is a growth industry. After all, we have seen many Muslims manufacture anti-Muslim hate crimes even in the U.S. When Muslims are not victimized in sufficient numbers to fuel the grievance propaganda that aids jihad recruitment, that victimization needs to be manufactured.

CLAIM

Among those making these claims is Qatar-based media company, Al Jazeera. In a post dated November 6, 2017, author Rifat Fareed used this photo in his article titled ‘
The forgotten massacre that ignited the Kashmir dispute’.
The Al Jazeera article was shared by many, including a Twitter user Muhammad Faysal, who claimed that “RSS killed over 2,00,000 Muslims in Jammu with widespread instances of rape”.

Similarly, several local Kashmiri media outlets used the pic to claim that the Indian Army, along with “Hindu hooligans”, killed lakhs of Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir after partition.
TRUTH
The photo belongs to the Associated Press (AP) and was clicked by Max Desfor on August 26, 1947. The photo captures a bullock cart loaded household goods belonging to a Muslim family who are on their way to Lahore from Amritsar with children.
The caption of the photograph mentions that “roads and railroads of India are clogged with Hindus going to India and Muslims moving to Pakistan”.
Entire story is fake. I had a good laugh when I read RSS massacred 200,000 people in Jammu in 1947. RSS never really had any foothold there in 1947. The numbers are as fake as the picture and story.
