Now the two will enter prison, where they will likely join forces with other jihadists. The West is struggling to deal with an ideology that is not stymied by Western norms of justice. Jihadists should be isolated in Western prisons, and if from foreign countries, they should be deported.
In February 2016, Sameh Bayda said to investigators that she wanted to do an “Islamic Bonnie and Clyde on the Kaffir.” It is important to note is that there could actually be no such thing as an “Islamic Bonnie and Clyde.” Western authorities treat jihadis as if they were equivalent to Western criminals, but there is a fundamental difference. Bonnie and Clyde opted for a criminal life. Such people know full well that they are choosing to do what is wrong, despite whatever personal justifications they may have for breaking the law. This thinking is very different from that of Islamic jihadists, who zealously believe that they are doing the right thing by harming infidels and murdering gays, apostates, and others. They believe in the tenets of Islamic jurisprudence that dehumanize those who do not adhere to its doctrines.
Also, cases in the West of domestic abuse and even murder are very different from religiously sanctioned wife-beating and cultural honor violence, both of which are acceptable in societies that adhere to Sharia.
Prosecutors alleged Bayda had given Namoa the knife and said each believed they had a “religious obligation to attack non-believers.”

A couple who described themselves as an “Islamic Bonnie and Clyde” have been found guilty in an Australian court of planning a New Year’s Eve terrorist stabbing attack on non-Muslims.
Sameh Bayda and Alo-Bridget Namoa, both 21, were charged last year with the offences, which prosecutors allege had been plotted in late 2015 to early 2016.
They had already been in custody accused of collecting documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts and denied conspiring to do an act in preparation for a terrorist act.
But after more than three days of deliberations, a NSW Supreme Court jury on Friday found them guilty of the plot. Police evidence showed it involved detonating an improvised device, an incendiary device or using a bladed weapon.
Namoa, who married Bayda in an Islamic wedding ceremony in 2015 when they were 18, had referred to the couple as a jihadi “Bonnie and Clyde,” the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Bayda was allegedly found with Arabic documents on how to carry out a stabbing and how to make an improvised explosive device (IED), media reports said.
