A court in Amsterdam has sentenced a 38-year-old Afghan asylum seeker who raped a mildly mentally-impaired 18-year-old girl in 2016 to a lighter sentence to prevent him from losing his residence permit. This the Telegraaf reports.
The judge found that the loss of the residence permit should not be a consequence for the 38-year-old Afghan asylum seeker Zaman S. He raped the 18-year-old, less-gifted girl in the shop where he worked. The victim and her father are furious.
