The Islamic State recently threatened attacks in New York City during the Christmas season.

An explosion took place in the Port Authority, the central bus station in New York on 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, near the Grand Central Station and not far from Times Square. The temporary casualty toll would be 2 injured, including the bomber. The police arrested a 24-year-old native of Bangladesh and living in Brooklyn who said he acted for ISIS.
