Here is still more in the Left’s endless quest to portray everything as a racial issue. Contrary to the ubiquitous victimology rhetoric about “brown people” in the U.S., this jihad attack at the New York Port Authority today had nothing to do with race. Akayed Ullah did not try to detonate a jihad suicide vest because he was a “young, brown male,” but because he is a Muslim, and a follower of the Islamic State, which has called for jihad attacks in New York City during the Christmas season, and at public transportation hubs.
Simran Jeet Singh is trying to portray Muslims in the U.S. (and other “brown Americans”) as the real victims, as the establishment media and Islamic groups in the U.S. do after every jihad attack. If he had any concern for the history of the Sikh people and how they have suffered at the hands of Islamic jihadis, he might reconsider his avidity to portray this attack entirely in racial terms, and instead be calling upon the Muslim community to drive the jihadis from its midst and teach resolutely and honestly against the ISIS/al-Qaeda understanding of Islam and jihad. Instead, he is warning about an “anti-Muslim backlash” that we are always warned about after every jihad attack, and that never actually materializes.

Both Trinity University and NYU should immediately repudiate and fire this malignant clown. But instead, they will probably give him a raise.
