Linda Sarsour, who has stated in past that “nothing is creepier than Zionism,” not only has family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, but is herself connected to it. She has declared that her inspiration is imam Omar Suleiman, a known Muslim Brotherhood “hate preacher” who:
made her “more proud to be a Muslim and a Palestinian.” One year later, she praised him as one of several Muslim “scholars … who speak truth w/ courage & w/o apology.” Suleiman responded: “jazakiallah khayr [may Allah reward you with goodness] and thank you for being a leader in the trenches!”
A Muslim Brotherhood rally vowed to “kill all Jews”; its “organizers at Cairo’s iconic al-Azhar Mosque” warned against “Judaization of Jerusalem.” Also, in another article reported in the Jerusalem Post:
Sarsour is a well-known Muslim and Palestinian activist who supports a Palestinian state but denies Jews the right to national self-determination. Moreover, she has appeared alongside a convicted Palestinian terrorist murderer whom she has lauded for her “resistance” to the Zionist occupation.
To this day, despite all documented proof, there remains a pervasive mental block in the Western psyche in understanding that the mandate of the Muslim Brotherhood is global conquest, with a particular jihad against the Jews. The Muslim Brotherhood claims that Jews have occupied Muslim lands by “settling” in Israel, despite Israel being the historic homeland of the Jewish people.
Even worse is that many Jews have fallen for the deceptions of those affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, actually believing that Muslim Brotherhood members, friends and affiliates are their “friends.” They do not realize that they are being used for the cause of defeating the Jewish people.
Hamas states that it is the Muslim Brotherhood for Palestine. The Hamas Covenant states:
Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.
The land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf Holy Possession consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. No one can renounce it or any part, or abandon it or any part of it.
Palestine is an Islamic land… Since this is the case, the Liberation of Palestine is an individual duty for every Moslem wherever he may be.
Anti-Defamation League Director Jonathan Greenblatt rightly said:
Having Linda Sarsour & head of JVP leading a panel on #antisemitism is like Oscar Meyer leading a panel on vegetarianism,” he wrote on Twitter. “These panelists know the issue, but unfortunately, from the perspective of fomenting it rather than fighting it.”
The same appalling deceptions are seen in Canada, where the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) — formerly CAIR-CAN — find sympathetic, misguided members of the Jewish community, in much the same way as we see here with Linda Sarsour and Jewish Voices for Peace. Such collaborations aim to classify “Islamophobia” and “anti-Semitism” together, while labeling those who see through this propaganda as “ignorant” and/or “racist.” Bernie Farber is one such member of the Jewish community in Canada. As former head of the Canadian Jewish Congress, he was featured on the site of the National Council of Canadian Muslims in a so-called “team effort” to battle “Islamophobia.” Robert Spencer referred to such collaborations as a “moral myopia of catastrophic proportions.” This effort is driven in Canada by the NCCM and other groups such as the Muslim Association of Canada, which prides itself as being a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate.
Anti-Semitism is very different from Islamophobia. Anti-Semitism is hatred of the Jewish people. Jews do not harm anyone in the name of their religion. They were innocent victims of the Holocaust, and the State of Israel is still attacked by Islamic jihad groups to this day, as it fights for its survival. By contrast, Islam is not a race, and no one is “phobic” about it. It is a belief system and an ideology that sanctions the worst human rights abuses and intolerance by many of its adherents. People need to be aware of this ideology’s impact, and need to defend themselves against it, given its expansionary objectives.
Everyone should be acquainting himself or herself with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Islamophobia Observatory and its aim to further the “Islamophobia” subterfuge globally. A reminder: a former member of the International Institute for Islamic Thought, Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, has warned that this “loathsome term” “Islamophobia” is “nothing but a thought terminating cliché, created in the bowels of Muslim Think Tanks for the purpose of beating down critics,” and that it does! If anti-Muslim bigotry were targeted like any other form of bigotry, then it should be called “anti-Muslim bigotry,” not “Islamophobia,” since the latter term is also used to denigrate legitimate analysis of jihadi motives and goals.
Let’s hope that Linda Sarsour’s feigned efforts to fight anti-Semitism will help to open people’s eyes to the big lie of these endeavors involving deceitful players operating under the falsely-raised banners of “diversity,” “anti-racism,” and “human rights.”
“New School Draws Ire For Antisemitism Panel Featuring Linda Sarsour and JVP Head”, by Yair Ettinger, Jerusalem Post, November 15, 2017:
YORK – After coming under fire for its choice of speakers to appear on a panel discussion about antisemitism, the New School is offering to sponsor an alternative group that will include voices from the Jewish American mainstream.
The New York institution, however, did not back down from its invitation of Linda Sarsour to speak at the new event, titled “Antisemitism and the Struggle for Justice,” scheduled for the end of this month.
The New School, a Manhattan- based university, is sponsoring the event in cooperation with the Jewish Voice for Peace and Jacobin Magazine, both of which promote causes of the radical Left.
Sarsour is Muslim activist and unrelenting critic of Israel who supports a boycott against the Jewish state. Among numerous other controversial statements, she tweeted in 2012, “Nothing is creepier than Zionism.”
Rebecca Vilkomerson, executive director of JVP, is also scheduled to speak at the event, which will be moderated by Amy Goodman, host of the radio program Democracy Now.
Earlier this week, in response to a biting report about the panel in Tablet Magazine, Jonathan Greenblatt, national director and CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, slammed the New School. “Having Linda Sarsour & head of JVP leading a panel on #antisemitism is like Oscar Meyer leading a panel on vegetarianism,” he wrote on Twitter. “These panelists know the issue, but unfortunately, from the perspective of fomenting it rather than fighting it.”
The New School responded in writing to The Jerusalem Post, saying the institution “is founded on principles of tolerance, social justice, and free intellectual exchange. These values remain central to our mission today, and we believe that engaging in debate on a range of issues and ideas is critical to our role as an academic institution”.
A representative who spoke on behalf of the school added: “We understand that there are different views on this issue.
For that reason, the Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism Program has invited representatives of the magazine Tablet to organize an event to present some of these different views on this important topic; the program has also invited to participate Jonathan Greenblatt, national director and CEO of the Anti-Defamation League”…..
