When words are weaponized and skillfully wielded in the moral battles of a society, they can change the debate landscape in short order — a few decades at most. Witness, for example, a word freshly minted in the early 1980s, when attitudes toward homosexuality were by and large negative. Gay activists coined the term “homophobia” […]
Leftists and Muslims enraged over Boris Johnson’s statement that Muslim world “literally centuries behind” the West
“Mohammed Amin, until recently chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum, told the newspaper Mr Johnson’s analysis risked ‘actively promoting hatred of Muslims.’” Why? Johnson’s statement — which, by the way, he made in 2007, but there is no statute of limitations on Leftist/Islamic rage — was about Islam, not Muslims. If he had said that […]
Huffington Post: “Muslim women subject to harassment when swimming while wearing less-than-revealing swim attire”
A new declaration of victimhood: a Huffington Post report states that “over the last decade, Muslim women across the globe have been subject to an increasing amount of harassment when swimming while wearing less-than-revealing swim attire.” Muslim women facing opposition when wearing “less-than-revealing swim attire” in pools has nothing to do with their being Muslim. Riz Ahmed claims “it is really scary to be a Muslim right now.” He says this when he is at the top of his profession, flooded with acting offers, an Emmy winner without a care in the world. How “scary” is it to be a Muslim in America today? In Washington, two Muslim women — […]
With backing from Hamas-linked CAIR, Ilhan Omar targets FBI’s terror watchlist
“It is dangerous enough that the federal government keeps a secret watchlist of more than one million people, almost all of whom are Muslim, and treats these Muslims like second class citizens.” Second class citizens? Really? In what way? What rights are Muslims denied? To what institutions or services are they barred access? How did […]
