Now he's sacked, now he's not. An update on this story. "Islamic group denies mufti sacked," by Taghred Chandab and AAP in the Brisbane Times:
The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils has denied reports it has sacked controversial Muslim leader Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly as mufti of Australia.
AFIC president Ikebal Patel says a Fairfax newspaper report that the group's abolished the role of mufti and cut all ties with the sheik is wrong.
He says the sheik is still mufti until at least June while a national board of imams decides whether the position should remain and if so who should fill it.
Mr Patel's told Sky News Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly is one of the most knowledgeable Muslim scholars in Australia and one of the most moderate imams.
But he says AFIC has had issues with some of the sheik's comments and if he's to continue as mufti he'll have to follow strict guidelines about what he can get involved in and have English-speakers around him so what he says isn't misinterpreted.

Women are weak in Islam yet they can control themselves with uncovered men. Men who are stronger according to Islam cannot control themselves with uncovered women.
I guess things like self control are not considered a strength in Islam. Thus things like personal responsibility are out the window too.
As a western man I find this a rather important difference in Western and Islamic vales and what are considered strengths.

Infidels cannot be allowed to interpret either the Koran or the imam's words on their own. All must be filtered through Muslims who understand what the infidel must see and hear.

What did Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly exactly say that has upset the Australian muslims so much?
Has he mis-interpreted the message of their prophet? Are his views on islam so abhorrent that he needs to be removed from his post and/or be silenced?
No, what he has said and what he believs in is the correct islam, what he did wrong was to translate the message in a manner that even an idiot can understand. Thereby, removing the excuse of "things being said in arabic cannot always be translated in other languages properly".
So, even if he is removed from his office, even if he is silenced, will the original message of islam be any different?
Wake up our supine, dead brained surrender monkeys of politicians.
What do these muslims have to do so that you get the message? In the name of their cult, they have butchered, they have maimed, they have orphaned, they have amputated, they have imprisoned, they have fought wars, they have invaded and taken over swathes of land previouly beloning to peaceful peoples and converted them into millions of fanatical and suicidal jihadists.
And still it is the religion of peace? When will we learn?

In Politics we have the same debate up here in Canada, the corrupt Liberals that used Tax dollars to finance Elections and Payolla
to businesses in the for of a kick-back donation
was finally caught and the damage-control was to
Fire a bunch of CEO's or Bureaucrats they Appointed , BUT , while the people Fired claimed they Quit , a FOIA search revealed massive Severance pay-outs.
As usual , Tax funded Lawyers defended these weasels to tie up the issue in our Courts and argue what the real definition is of "Severance"
settlement.
Ya know , Quit/Fired , same thing eh.

The Australian Islamic community is in open support of this obnoxious individual as their representative. Their support and lack of clear voice against the racism and hatred preached by Hilali leaves a smell of rotting meat around their common ideology. Yet, disingenuously, the Islamic community acts surprised and hurt when the broader community acts with distrust towards them...go figure.

Australian Muslims support Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly, "uncovered meat" messages and all ... as much as they dare.
Only, they're not sure how much they dare, and when Aussie resistance to Islam might become serious.
Since it's external pressure making them wobbly, good for those applying the pressure, including Kevin Rudd.

The controversial Australian mufti was quoted as saying that the global Islamic nation would never "kneel" to its enemies.

Oh my gosh, one of the most moderate, it is no wonder that the world is full on non stop muslim violence if this man is one of the better Imams.. These people teach their people,,, hmmmm but what...

Once upon a time, long long ago, in a place Far Far Away,the British Foreign Office implanted its idea of the "Grand Mufti" into the womb of Israel. His name? al Husseini. His legacy? Pro-Nazi,anti-Israel, anti-West,anti-anything-that-opposes-His (swt)-idea-of-the-idyllic- Islamic-state (swt). His nephew? A hideous creature who disguised his real origins by calling himself Arafat. His legacy? Read the above... His real nature? Everything that even Islam must detest, including his homosexual tendencies. Moral of the story?
If the West is responsible for allowing such vile creatures to exist, let alone enjoy the benefits of their West-backed positions of artificial grandeur, then surely the West deserves what it gets. Ask the Balkans if their memories of the Ustashi are warm and fuzzy.
