Not sponsoring a gay pride parade does not mean that a person or business is opposed to the equality of rights of any human being.
As Olivia Chow abuses her powers to defend a pride parade, even manipulating public funds as if the money were her own, she somehow has no problem with the scourge of antisemitism as it rages in Toronto and more broadly in Canada. And ironically, Israel is the safest country for gays in the Middle East.
It’s a pity that Chow’s passion for LGBTQ+ doesn’t translate to genuinely fighting for gay rights in the Palestinian territories and other Islamic-dominated regions, where persecution of gays is commonplace.
Her actions against Home Depot and the promise of public funds to further her personal agenda should be investigated for conflict of interest and violation of ethics rules.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow’s call for residents of Toronto to stop shopping at Home Depot could cost the city thousands of jobs. The company is currently looking to move its Canadian headquarters from an industrial park off of the Don Valley Pkwy. and Chow’s comments could see it leave the city altogether.
At a Pride flag-raising ceremony on Monday, Chow called out Home Depot for deciding not to sponsor the Toronto Pride Festival this year by encouraging people to shop elsewhere.

They used to be, until their HR people got bored and started introducing woke doctrines in the workplace in order to keep busy. That’s what caused a lot of workplaces to become simply insufferable
Problem here is that there usually aren’t based alternatives: if Home Depot is doing it, chances are that Lowes was not much different. Worst industry here is Tech: Apple, Google, Microsoft and all FOSS projects/foundations are almost all woke, so good luck if one wants a based Tech alternative

This mayor wants to extort a hardware store chain ? Maybe Home depot can shut down all their stores in Toronto ? Why should a hardware store have to sponsor anything the heads of that business do not support? If I run a small or big business should I have to a gay flag flying out front for the month of June not to get my window busted ,or a Pakistan flag on another Moslem holiday ,or a black lives matter flag ,or help pay for a pro-Hamas parade ,or make public donations to green peace ,or sponsor a fund raising a 5k fun run for planned parenthood?
