Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has angrily lashed out against awarding Austrian writer Peter Handke with a Nobel Prize. Handke is accused of denying the 1995 Bosnian genocide and of being a “great admirer of former Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic.”
In a Jihad Watch article, Hugh Fitzgerald stated this about Handke:
Peter Handke, a writer, scriptwriter, and journalist, is – outside of his writing – known most for his defense of the Serbs in the Balkan wars of the 1990s. He was virtually alone among non-Serbs in attempting to understand their fears and to stand up for them when no one else would. Handke thought the outside world was too quick to condemn the Serbs, not just for the atrocities they did commit, but for others that, he claimed, they did not commit, and furthermore, was willing to overlook many Muslim atrocities committed against the Serbs. For the world had already made up its mind. The Muslims were only innocent victims, the Serbs only cruel victimizers.
Handke was also mindful of Balkan history (his own mother was Slovenian, another people, like the Serbs, brutalized by the Ottomans).
Erdogan said this about Handke:
“‘It is a shame and disgrace to award a person who defends and praises a murderer who shed the blood of tens of thousands of Muslims,’ Erdogan said.”
Meanwhile, Erdogan continues to deny the Armenian genocide. Also, the Palestinian Authority routinely “praises” their jihadists for killing Jews and even pays them to do so (“pay for slay“); all while Erdogan teaches Turkish youth that “Jews in Israel beat Palestinian women and children.” He envisions amassing an army of Islam to destroy Israel.
It is stunning what the world tolerates from Muslims against Jews and Christians, yet countries which are founded on Judeo-Christian principles are primarily concerned about being deemed “Islamophobic,” due to the persistent propaganda spread by the likes of Erdogan, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and pro-Palestinian activists. Less than three months ago, “Erdogan called for action against “Islamophobia” at the UN General Assembly, and referred to “Islamophobia” as “the most dangerous peril of our time.”
The global jihad is the most dangerous peril of our time.
“Awarding Nobel to Handke encourages Islam’s enemies,” by Jeyhun Aliyev and Sibel Morrow, Anadolu Agency, December 10 2019:
Awarding the Nobel Prize to Peter Handke will only encourage “enemies of Islam and humanity”, the Turkish president said on Tuesday.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s remarks came at a commemoration event at the presidential complex in the capital Ankara to mark the 75th year of Ahiska Turks’ exile.
“It is a shame and disgrace to award a person who defends and praises a murderer who shed the blood of tens of thousands of Muslims,” Erdogan said, referring to the 2019 Nobel Laureate in Literature Peter Handke, an Austrian writer who is accused of denying the 1995 Bosnian genocide.
Handke is known to be a great admirer of former Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic, who died in 2006 while facing trial in The Hague for war crimes and genocide.
“Stand up if you support the Serbs,” Handke wrote during the 1998-1999 Kosovo War.
He claimed that the Muslim Bosniaks in Sarajevo had killed themselves, adding that he never believed that the Serbs had committed genocide in Srebrenica.
Handke also visited Milosevic in prison and tried to testify in his favour.
“I am here for Yugoslavia, for Serbia, for Slobodan Milosevic,” Handke said in a 2006 eulogy for Milosevic.
In winning the prize, Handke will also receive 9 million Swedish kronor ($952,000) as well as a medal and a diploma.
Turkish president called on people of conscience to react over the controversial award.
“Those lecturing Turkey about democracy and law rolled out the red carpet for dictators and terrorists who killed tens of thousands of people,” said Erdogan…..

Erdogan is clearly a fanatical jihadist. His policies are causing economic disaster in Turkey. Turkey could be rich like any of the great Europe nations if it weren’t for Islam.
A number of Turkish writers have agreed that Islam has been no good for Turkey.
“Turks were a great nation even before they adopted Islam. This religion did not help the Arabs, Iranians, Egyptians and others to unite with Turks to form a nation. Conversely, it weakened the Turks’ national relations; it numbed Turkish national feelings and enthusiasm. This was natural, because Mohammedanism was based on Arab nationalism above all nationalities.” – from Yurttaslik Bilgileri, Yenigun Haber Ajansi (1997 edition) p. 18

And let’s not forget islam’s Sahih Muslim #6985 teaching that calls for a final war against the Jews
If your cult has such a wicked teaching then muslims are not in a position to complain about Genocide:your pagan Arab cult of }al}Lah revels in it.
Wise people stay away from islam.
Smart people leave islam.
Evil peope defend it.
Fools convert to it.

Actually, “Brian Hoff”–really, “DefenderofIslam”–has said that when they have enough numbers here in the US that Muslims will destroy the Constitution, impose brutal Shari’ah law, and murder anyone who does not submit to Islam. Sounds like genocide to me.

I wouldn’t care if Erdogan’s policies were to weaken the turkish economy. I actually hope that they did but this doesn’t seem to be the case so far. From 2002 when AKP took over to today the size of the Turkish economy has quadripled, turkish trade expanded massively (especially with muslim countries like Malaysia), and Turkey joined the G20 as the world’s 17th largest economy.
I actually think Islam was a source of strength for the Turks and what enabled them to become a “great nation” in the first place. Devoutly waging non-stop jihad against a Europe that was too weak to and divided an effective response due to being busy fighting its own religious wars between Catholics and Protestants during the same period that the Ottoman Islamic State saw its greatest expansion.

I actually agree w/ you. While Turkey does have a minor pre-Islamic history, the bulk of their history has been as carriers of Islam. Also, whenever and wherever Mongols Islamized, they also culturally became Turks – which is how the Golden Horde – a Mongol entity until Mohammed Oz Beg Khan – came to be looked at as a Turkic one.
Also, Islam was what enabled the Turks – previously under the thumb of the Persians and the Chinese in Turan – to come out on their own. After they Islamized, they broke away from the Samanid empire and first hit it big in Afghanistan under Mahmoud of Ghazni, and then under the Seljuqs, who started an empire in Khorasan and took it all the way to Anatolia. Also, while the Arabs failed to Islamize India beyond Sind, the Turks, under first Mahmoud and later Mohammed Ghori – dealt a death blow to many Hindu kingdoms in north India and made it a major battleground for Islam. In fact, of the Muslim dynasties that ruled North India, all but one of them (the Lodis, which was Pashtun) were Turkic, including the Mughals. Oh, and then there was Tamerlane, who ravaged a huge portion of Asia from Delhi to Moscow, and who destroyed the Golden Horde.
In short, there is too much of a history that the Turks have wrt Islam to turn their backs on it. And the Kemalist experiment in Turkey, and its failure to permanently secularize Turks emphatically demonstrates it

Actually, Turkey (Anatolia) had centuries as a Classical, then Christian civilization. But this is, grimly, several hundred years in the past now. Constantinople fell to the Muslim barbarians in 1453.
And with the Armenian Genocide a hundred years ago most of the Christians were slaughtered or driven out. Sadly today Turkey is 99% Muslim.

Hey, Recep. Just so you know, I am an enemy of Islam, and you are my biggest encouragement, not least because you contaminate humanity by coupling it with Islam. Now go ranting about that, too, you maniac. I’d love to see you have a heart attack.

According to “Taqiyya” Erdogan:
“Awarding the Nobel Prize to Handke will only encourage “enemies of Islam and humanity…”
Encouraging enemies of Islam = good.
Why?
Because it is Islam that is the enemy of humanity…
Michael Pillon says
Civilisation and civilised people are the default enemies of Islam. So that means everyone bar Muslims, a diminishing and largely illiterate and powerless minority.

Looks like the Literature Nobel Prize is more meaningful than the Peace Prize that went to that asparagus Swede Thunberg. I wonder whether she would dare tell Erdogan, ‘How dare you!’
