Just another nail in the coffin of the Leftist establishment’s credibility. My latest in FrontPage:
In a press conference with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump refused to validate the findings of a deeply corrupt and compromised intelligence community that has been working assiduously since before he was even elected to discredit and destroy him, and now the sky is falling.
Barack Obama’s CIA director John Brennan, who calls himself a “nonpartisan American” but who voted for Communist Party candidate Gus Hall for President in 1976, tweeted in all-out hysterical mode: “Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors.’ It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???”
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) outdid even Brennan in hysteria, tweeting a call for a military coup: “Where are our military folks ? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!”
Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, who once called the Muslim Brotherhood “largely secular,” said that the Trump/Putin press conference was “truly unbelievable. On the world’s stage, in front of the entire globe, the President of the United States essentially capitulated and seems intimidated by Vladimir Putin. So it was amazing and very, very disturbing.”
Less hysterically, but in the same vein, 2020 Presidential hopeful Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) tweeted: “The whole world just watched as the President sided with Putin over U.S. Intelligence Agencies. There is no doubt that Putin has launched attacks on the very heart of our democracy, and by not standing up to him today, the President has invited him to do it again.”
In response to that, David Horowitz offered a note of sanity: “US intelligence agencies like the CIA headed by John Brennan who voted for Communist Party head during the height of the Cold War, and launched the Russia-Collusion witch-hunt, and Comey’s FBI.” Horowitz also observed: “Long time appeasers of the Soviet empire in the Democratic Party want to re-start the Cold War with a Russia greatly diminished in power and influence rather than see if we can make deals with this thug regime to reduce the dangers of nuclear war, & rein in Iran’s terror regime.”
Longtime foes and targets of the Left should have seen this, but some didn’t: the hysteria was not all on the Left. Newt Gingrich tweeted: “President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin. It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected—-immediately.”
What was Trump’s “treason”? His “high crimes & misdemeanors”? “The most serious mistake of his presidency”? In the words of NBC’s Chuck Todd, it was “essentially confessing to the world that he believes Putin more [than] the United States of America and its agencies.
But this was, not unexpectedly, wildly overstated and misleading. President Trump did not say that he trusted Putin more than he trusted the United States of America. He expressed his skepticism at the findings of intelligence agencies that have been shown over the last year and a half to have strayed far from their mission and become deeply partisan, shockingly corrupt organizations bent on finding enough dirt on him to remove him from the Oval Office.
The President has repeatedly referred to Robert Mueller’s Russian collusion investigation as a “witch hunt,” and that is exactly what it is. On Tuesday, Trump walked back some of his remarks at the press conference, saying: “I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that meddling took place” from Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign, but added that the meddlers “could be other people also. There’s a lot of people out there.” He also tweeted: “Thank you
@RandPaul. ‘The President has gone through a year and a half of totally partisan investigations – what’s he supposed to think?’”Indeed. Just as there are a lot of people who may have meddled in the election, there are a lot of people in Washington, such as Mueller, James Comey, and Peter Strzok, who have been determinedly working to frame him for months for collusion with Russia for which they have been so far unable to produce any evidence. President Trump was right to be skeptical of the intelligence community, and should stand firm on that skepticism – as well as call for a thorough investigation and reform of the FBI.
It is also interesting that the people who are crying “treason” the loudest today never uttered the word when Barack Obama shipped billions of dollars in cash in the dark of night to the Islamic Republic of Iran, even as the mullahs were chanting “Death to America.” Treason is defined in American law as giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Wouldn’t billions given to a terror-supporting rogue state be a great deal more aid and comfort to an enemy than some skepticism about our manifestly corrupt intelligence agencies at a press conference? Of course – but the Leftists who are in hysterics over the Trump/Putin press conference are the same Leftists who applauded Obama’s generosity to the Islamic Republic, and fought desperately to preserve their man’s disastrous nuclear deal with that outlaw state.
It’s a classic case of projection: the ones crying loudest about “treason” today are ones who are actually traitors.

Listening to FBI lead investigator Peter Strzok, to his Text message “We will stop him” was in reaction to the horrible disgusting behaviour of Trump described in this clip bellow.
Should Special Agent Strzok be also outraged at his betrayal of his Family especially his wife Melissa Hodgman and three children.
If he can betray those he loves, what about those he does not love.
Betrayal involves lying.
The investigation of the FBI needs to be scrutinised carefully regarding Trump.

Indeed traitors are those who lend aid and support to our enemy and that enemy is Islam, both Sunni and Shiite — and, Obama certainly crossed the line that may be defined as lawfully treason.
Yes, there are other foes in the world that may threaten the USA such as China, N. Korea or some renewal of communist hostilities; but the most immediate and present danger comes from Islam.
Partially, enabled from that treason and greed, that has been excused as national interests, Islam is now in position to literally dictate policies and laws in Europe and the USA. The last two decades demonstrate Islam is once again a coalescing force focusing upon conquest via the renewed intensity of terrorism. Islam through its various slim mold like shape shifting, has the means to topple governments, corrupt politicians and influence US elections, in a far greater capacity than what Russia is blamed.

As far as I’m concerned , the American people have no enemy in Russia , the left is still hung up in the 60’s .. and are determined to form a north American socialist slave state , more than half the nation know what they are up to it showed last November…I scenario I see is this ..Obama hacked our poling machines “abusing power ” as usual ..by using the NSA to do so , he possibly planned on changing the outcome ,. But the Russians hacked the NSA and piggy backed their every move , the Russians knew that crooked prick couldn’t resist controlling the outcome of the election…. But guess what happened next , lol poor old Obama got caught with his hands in the cookie jar , and the smile was wiped from their faces !! The same kinda crap is being pulled globally look at the mayor of London , do you really believe that dude was elected by the people who just hat voted and passed Brexit , it’s so funny how the Dems cheated their asses off , just to be kept honest by the Russians .. all the Dems can say is : they were cheated out of their cheat , I truly want to see paper ballet next time , as well as a valid voter ID ..AND PUT LEGAL CITIZENS IN CHARGE OF THE COUNT
Westman says
Where is the declaration of war that makes Russia the enemy? Where are the Congressmen, particularly the current complainers, who will stand up and legally declare it officially so? Oh, they really don’t want war? Then why are they speaking in war terms? Hypocrites.
There can be no treason without legally defining the enemy. Claiming so is intentional dishonesty and would never hold up at the Supreme Court. It is time to try a different approach to Russia if we are really interested in solving the shortfalls in NATO spending.
Expecting the allies, on the military dole since 1945, to actually pay the full cost is as unlikely as getting US citizens off welfare. If it’s available it will be exploited. Take Germany for example with, say, a shortfall of 1.5% for 72 years. That represents a gain in wealth of 292%. Why is the US subsidizing the wealth of the EU with American citizen’s tax dollars? This is like having renters who pay 50% of the rent every month and fully expect to stay. Imagine what European leaders actually think, behind the public veneer, of the financial dolt that keeps them in the house and allows them to afford the luxury car?
The EU likes to set deadlines for its own members. Maybe It’s time for the US to set a deadline for the EU to create its own military.

Robert Spencer in FrontPage: The Left’s Trump-Putin Meltdown
………………….
Yes, it’s grotesque. I am actually not an unalloyed fan of the president’s “bromance” with Putin, but the rhetoric surrounding it has been completely hysterical.
Besides the call for a military coup, above, a former Watergate prosecutor compared the Trump-Putin meeting *to the Holocaust*:
“Watergate prosecutor compares Trump-Putin summit to Pearl Harbor, Kristallnacht”
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/watergate-prosecutor-compares-trump-putin-summit-to-pearl-harbor-kristallnacht
Don McKellar says
There is a good case to be made for this as Trump’s motivations. Certainly Obama’s regime corrupted and politicized the agencies.
HOWEVER, I think that Trump’s reason for saying what he said is that we saw Trump’s FATAL FLAW on display. He has a great inability to speak badly of or discredit anybody who is “for Trump”. If it is the new evil Chinese “emperor”, or the fiendish little rocket man in North Korea, or some racists down in the southern US, or even Putin — when confronted with their bad actions and character, Trump tries to play up their “good qualities” or is silent. They are “for” him and speaking positively for him or flattering him or voting for him — so he just can’t bring himself to disavow them or put them down. Not unless there is massive uproar and pressure from all sides, and then he’ll only give a lukewarm rebuke at best. And even in that he’ll leave wriggle room for his “supporter”. With Helsinki, we saw this fatal flaw in action with Putin.
Carolyne says
President Trump has no “Fatal flaw.” He is recognizing the true fact that many of our instutions, most especially the FBI, are corrupt to the core and one cannot believe anything which comes from them. The DOJ has already completed its coup d’tat and is largely in control of the country, contrary to the law. This is the true “Fatal flaw”
Mark Swan says
Absolutely Carolyne, I agree.
“It’s a classic case of projection: the ones crying loudest about “treason”

Absolutely—they are the very ones guilty of treacherous behavior.
No other President has had to endure so much deliberate hatefulness.
The functioning of our federal government is gravely jeopardized by
this behavior.
These totally hate and try to discount the many millions of voters
who rejected their establishment pick and direction they were hoping
to keep the Nation going in.

I have to take issue.
1) If Obama had sided with Putin over US intelligence findings, we on the right would have been justifiably outraged…(and don’t kid yourself, the denunciations from the right would be universal, with the possible exception of Rand Paul).
2) Trump himself has – since the Summit press conference – done an about-face and now says he sides with the US intelligence findings.
I support the President…..and most of his policies, but he’s not terribly bright, and as for my conservative friends whose loyalty to the President – absolutely appropriate given the alternatives – conflates with blind defense of his absurdities and inanities….well, it’s unfortunate.
rbla says
Could Trump be a bit more discreet and subtle? Yes but the real reason he is hated is because he tells the truth, something no president is supposed to do; Reagan came close but was not as honest as Trump. The Deep State and its intelligence subsidiary has entered into an unholy alliance with the Left, now reconstituted as cultural Marxism, and the globalist business interests. And they really hate Russia. Why? The Deep State and the military industrial complex needs an enemy and Russia has been designated as such first years ago by the Clinton administration. Is Russia a bad actor? Yes. Is she worse than China, the Muslim states, Mexico? No. Does Russia spy? Yes. So do all of our European and Asian friends and they are much better at stealing our intellectual property. Does Russia meddle in our elections and politics? Yes. But China has been doing a much better job beginning with buying off the Clintons and the Democrat Party, remember Charley Tree the infamous Chinese agent and campaign bundler, and they have been doing so ever since. So do the Europeans, Japanese, Koreans, Arabs and yes, even Israel. Are we pure in that respect? Haven’t we meddled in elections and foreign politics for decades? Very recent examples Obama trying to swing the Brits into voting against Brexit and sending taxpayer paid campaign consultants to Israel to defeat Netanyahu. What bigger case of foolish meddling can there be than the overthrow of Kaddafi? And who is the biggest political meddler of all? Mexico. They have been quite openly trying to alter our demography and thus votes and have colluded with the Dems to do so.
Nations meddle in each other’s politics and it is understandable; they and we act in their self-interest. So why is Russia singled out? China has ten times their economic strength and will soon overtake them militarily. But China would not serve as an enemy. Why? Follow the money, business and finance have a large stake there. Mexico is the great demographic threat and has made itself the willing accomplice to invaders from all over Central America. But they can’t serve as the enemy. Why? It would be politically incorrect and ‘waycist’. The Muslim world harbors terrorists, is responsible for the thousands dead on 911 and is currently overwhelming Europe. Can they serve as the enemy that the Deep State needs? No. Why? It would be Islamophobic and ‘waycist’. That leaves only Russia.
Now why do the one time commies, peaceniks, student radicals etc. also hate Russia? They might be mad at the Russians for having abandoned Communism. But there is an even more fundamental question. Why are the two nations most hated by the left, Russia and – drum roll – America? Because America is the last large bastion of Western Civilization and, yes, because Christianity, devout Christianity, is still strong here. And since the Russians have abandoned Communism they have once again embraced their ancient traditions and Christianity. They have embarked, with Putin’s blessing on a large church and seminary building campaign. Russia is now another bastion of European civilization; the eastern Byzantine branch but European nevertheless. And the Russians along with some other East European countries have not bought into the globalist third world importing ideal. And that is the real reason that they are the ‘enemy’.
Peggy says
True. The best way to enslave the world is to get US and Russia hating each other.
Why be stupid and fall for this?
I cannot understand how people don’t see this.
Kasch Mir says
For Trump to be accused of treason by Hillary supporters is just hilarious, since her staff was infiltrated by moslem agents and her campaign was financed by the saudis
All those America-haters have the same agenda which aims at destroying the U.S. by opening its borders wide to all kinds of immigrants, preferably moslems.
It is obvious that all this Russian collusion stuff is a device set up before the election to derail first Donald Trump’s candidacy, and then his presidency.
But thank God, Trump is tougher than they imagined and as President, he’s right to be circumspect about “his” intelligence services… another President (JFK) and his brother would certainly agree
infidel says
I completely second this… If U look deeply enough, MUSLIMS ARE ACTUALLY behind this Trump witch-hunt.. But they do it so insidiously, they will make it look like coming from the dems… Muslims are masters at this game of firing their guns from the shoulders of dhimmis..
Mark Swan says
The U.N. is dominated and controlled by our enemies—
they are directly involved in this Muslim infestation we
are witnessing all over Western Society—they continually
lobby for this, enable this and protecting this.
Many of the Western Social problems we are seeing today
are the direct result of interference, by those who see our
ways as a hindrance to their perception of how they would
want things to be.
So we started and backed this U. N. hoping to bring some
influence upon the Nations away from war—that is pushed
aside here—other interests and other agendas are predominating
all the influence that consensus with goodwill could yield.

Great article by Mr. Spencer.
Trump has put the blame on US-Russian relations where it should be on the deep state-the U.S. government establishment. Trump will not play the game of enemy making when it is the USA that provokes Russia. Perhaps he was speaking of the provocations such as ;
Moving NATO onto the border with Russia and conducting war games with our new Eastern European allies.Placing anti-missile missiles on the border which forced Russia to take moves to maintain parity.
Was it going to war with Iraq looking for ‘’weapons of mass destruction’’ that our intelligence services insisted were there. By doing so we destroyed the only regime in the Middle East capable of controlling Iran.
Or was in bombing Libya turning it into a fundamentalist dominated state.
Did he mean our support for the pseudo Taliban allies in the Syrian civil war? Syria is an ally of Russia.
Or was it the U.S.A.’s chucking out of the decades old ABM treaty?
Was it USA’s messing in Ukrainian politics, that brought a government hostile to Russia to power, Russia was anxious to protect their naval base in the Crimea which caused him to seize the Crimea, which is populated by ethnic Russians and was part of Russia until Khrushchev ‘’gave’’ it to Ukraine.
Russia, long considered herself the protector of the Slavs reacted badly to the American forcing Belgrade to surrender an important historical city; Kosovo to a Muslim dominated ethnicity the Albanians. The USA bombed Belgrade for over two months to force them to give up the city.
Is destroying Iraq, occupying Afghanistan for over 15 years in a war without end, meddling in the Syrian civil war by backing fundamentalist rebels, who routinely kill Christians, instead of a democratically elected, under UN supervision, strongman Bashar Assad. Or maybe it was Obomber’s uping the number of countries the USA bombs from two to seven.
Whose foreign policy was more moral Russia’s or the United States.
Z says
They say Trump has sided with the enemy. Today our enemy is radical Islam. And Russia has been doing a good job fighting them
gravenimage says
Not entirely, Z. Jihad terror attacks are becoming more common in Russia, Putin has allowed Chechnya to impose Shari’ah law, and he is enabling a nuclear Iran.
Peggy says
How does that make Russia our enemy? Do you see Russia as our enemy and if you do what evidence is there of it?
Russia has problems with Islam but they at least are not imprisoning their people for speaking against it.
I agree with almost everything you say but I just don’t understand how you see Russia as our enemy.
The fact that Putin tolerates Sharia in a Muslim country (it really does have enough autonomy to be a separate country anyway) doesn’t mean that he will put up with non Muslims there having to abide by Sharia. I haven’t seen any examples of that yet.

Meddling. The Russians meddled in the last election and are still meddling now “US Intelligence Agencies” say. You mean this is from intelligence agents like Strzok and his appointees, or what exactly ?
Will someone from the accusors state specifically what this meddling is, how it occurs, and who (names) says so ? Is it:
a. taking out ads for their favorite candidate.
b. hacking party servers and giving the info to “their candidate”.
c. paying agents to comment on popular internet forums and news sites.
d. accessing voting sites to change ballot outcomes.

I believe Obama and his chiefs, including Brennan, spent much of their time in office stacking the government with their supporters, and their supporters stacking their departments, and on down the line … (it is all part of the modus operendi of the “community organizer playbook”).
Trump hit a nerve with Brennan, and that’s why he’s screeching so loudly. Hillary’s demolished/bleached emails and phones and servers, Clinton – Lynch tarmac meeting, Comey, Mueller, Peter Strzok, Iranian deal, MSM rants, and on and on ….
Brennan is hateful because things are not going the way planned, and does not fit the “community organizer” agenda, for which anything or anyone must be sacrificed.

All the big powers meddle in other governments, the CIA has directly influenced or overturned other governments more than 70 times. Experts say everyone hacks everybody, why aren’t all the commentators mentioning the hacking the US does to other governments as well? If you can’t take it don’t dish it out.
I’d still like to see Mueller prove it in a court of law, everyone is forgetting an indictment is not a conviction. For all we know the DNC hack could have been a local leak by someone like Seth Rich.

Everyone in every one of those agencies should have their pay cut 30% if they make more than $50K per year. Then put them on an improvement plan. If they can start working for the people who pay them, they can get some of their wages restored.
Peggy says
Why is Putin not to be trusted? Can you please explain how he is trying to destroy the US?
Seriously, I keep hearing this but so far I haven’t seen any evidence of Putin trying to destroy US. I have however, seen evidence of Americans themselves plotting against America with their Islamic buddies.
People, evidence please if you are going to make this statement.
